Just thought I would give everyone an update on my last two weeks or so. Wiemar, Dresden and Prague were amazing and even though we were in a group where at times we were at odds with one another we all had an awesome time and I got to see a ton of cool architecture. Wiemar was definitely the most "European" city of them all and you were able to walk from one side of the city to the other in around 20-30 minutes! Dresden was also a very european city except alot of it has been rebuilt because it was pretty much wiped out in World War II. Prague was definitely the one city I was excited to go to for that trip considering I have heard and seen many different things about it! We saw all the historical buildings and such but in our off time we went and visited the famous hisorical bridge that was a definite tourist trap but I also got to sort of point out certain parts that the movie xXx (Triple X) was filmed in at the end scenes, pretty awesome to be like "yeah vin deisel was RIGHT there!" We also got to see a Frank Gehry building, the "dancing house" which was pretty awesome as well!
From there I had maybe 6 hours in Berlin to put 10 days of clothes ect in my backpack and then my friend Nick and I flew to Rome. The city of Rome is both what I expected and didnt expect. I never knew it would be such an expensive city in the first place. The food itself is great but a little expensive compared to Berlin and the beverages are anywhere from 3 euro to 5 euro a piece here! Not to mention their transportation system is so crappy that all the rail cars are beat up and spraypainted to hell, their bus and tram stops have no markers to say what the stop is and all subway stations have no design intent what so ever, just exposed concrete with exposed wires everywhere!... on the brighter side, in the past five days Ive visited the Colleseum, Pantheon, the Vatican (including going on top of the dome where I could see the entire city!), a ton of other historic spots in rome, the Maxxi contemporary art gallery, and quite a few other modern structures in Rome too!
Tomorrow we head to Milan till Saturday, where we will see a ton of Modern Architecture along with quite a few historic ones too! Im hoping Milan will be a little cheaper than rome, but only one could hope! ;) Ive been trying to have fun and not spend too much money on that trip, but often those 2 dont go together too well. I cant believe that Im actually thinking I cant wait to get back to Berlin where food and drinks are MUCH cheaper!
Keep posted and I will try and upload all my photos when Im back and rested in Berlin on Sunday!
I Love You Honey! :-*

The Cusp
So it is now about a week until we goto Dresden for a week to see the Bauhaus, marvelous modern buildings from the 50's that set the tone for new modern buildings both in Europe and North America. From there we goto Prague for a week where we'll be hiking on the Polish/Czech border for a 20km hike and then checking out the very classical and some modern parts of the city itself.
After that my friend and I along with a few others will be going to Italy for a week on our "Midterm" break. For my friend and I, we'll be going to Rome for the first 5 days exploring obviously the famous Roman architecture but also checking out some very new modern architecture like the Maxxi and the Temple of the Year 2000.
It will be quite a ride and I will try to keep you informed as I can. I won't be bringing my laptop for obvious reasons but I'll have my itouch so if there is internet ill try to update as I can!
